With a few hours to spare yesterday afternoon, I sorted through my stack of pretty fabrics and stitched up another box pouch. I love all the pretty colours in this one and added a French motif that was left over from this project. I used some osnaburg for the top panel which contrasts nicely with the floral, gingham, and polka dot prints.
I quilted all the panels onto cotton wadding, 1/2 inch apart, and love the texture and structure it gives to the pouch. I added some ecru cotton lace on the back and some stripey aqua grosgrain ribbon for the tabs.
The fabrics are a mix of Darla, Ruby, Atsuko Matsumaya 30's Collection, Folk Heart, and Flower Sugar. The pattern used is from Patchwork Please! (with some modifications).
You can check out my other Box Pouch here.
Edit: I have had a few emails enquiring about the directions for the pouch in Patchwork Please! The instructions were a little confusing in places but if you are an experienced sewer, it is easily figured out from looking at the diagrams.
