If you are after a fun St Patrick's Day craft activity to do with kids, make a Pot of Gold. We made this one a few years ago for a Magazine feature on Kids Birthday Party ideas. One party theme was for an Enchanted Forest Party which included our Pot of Gold.
If you would like to make your own, you will need:
- Terracotta Pot
- Shredded green cellophane (Easter grass)
- Gold chocolate coins
- Chenille sticks (pipe cleaners) in rainbow colours
- Ribbon
- hobby glue
- masking tape (painters tape)
Decorate the rim of the pot with a
length of ribbon. Use some hobby glue to hold it in place. Position the chenille sticks in the rainbow order and bend to
create the rainbow shape. Tape the ends of the chenille sticks in place. Fill a terracotta pot with shredded cellophane and chocolate coins.
