Pique-Nique Inspiration

The only magazine I subscribe to is the French magazine,  Marie Claire Idees. It is a wonderful magazine and I was excited to see the latest issue arrive in my letterbox this week. It always has a wonderful assortment of projects using a variety of craft techniques and it never fails to deliver.

This months issue (No 85)  has a lovely section on projects to make for your next picnic (or should I say pique-nique?) Don't you agree everything sounds better in French? Many of the projects are made with the popular Katie Jump Rope fabric by Denyse Schmidt. Here is a peak at some of the projects:

I noticed on the website there are some bonus projects for issue No 85. Although it is cold, wet, and wintry here today - at least I can dream of summer projects.

I am often asked how I went about subscribing to the magazine. I subscribed online through the MCI website - thankfully my rusty school girl French helped me thought the process (or I guess google translate would work just as well!).

Thanks for the inspiration and the link to subscribe! I think I will need to continue my dose of France on my return! And this will surely do the trick! I might even try to buy a copy while I'm here! I love the champagne bottle carrier!

Gorgeous items. It is already getting too hot here for picnics, unless they are in the shade.
Google translate can be amusing to use at times!

ohhhhh lovely! I used to get it at my local newsagent until they stopped stocking it!!!! you can now subscribe and receive it online if anyone is interested on zinio! It doesn't replace having a nice stash of them to flick through but might be a cheaper option!

those projects are loving! I love the styling and projects!

Ooooh, some fun picnic ideas. I think we can buy that magazine at Barnes and Noble here -- I need to check it out. Thanks for the sneak peek!
