A Winning Recipe..

I am a big fan of the Australian Series of Master Chef. Mum and I watch it every night. I was inspired by the Scones they made in Master Class this week so made up a batch for my family (minus the dates!) -perfect for the wet and cold weekend we are having.

We had friends for dinner on Friday night so I decided to whip up a quick dessert after school. I made these caramel tarts.

I used some scrap booking supplies to decorate a little notebook for my handbag. I am now looking forward to the school holidays which start in one week!

Think of all that time we'll have to be creative Sarah! Bring on the holidays :)

Your notebook is very cute, and those scones look delicious. Must check out the Masterchef website.

I saw those scones on Masterchef too. They looked delicious. I think I'd swap the lemon and date for choc chips!

Your baking looks delicious and the crafty items beautiful. I just bought my husband the recipe book 'Beef' by the presenter of Masterchef in the UK, an Aussie, John Torode. We both really liked him when we watched the latest series here (usually years behind the rest of the world!).

Masterclass was great & so are your scones! I think plain with a touch of vanilla sounds nice instead of the dates. mmmm..can smell them :)

Love your pretty little notebook, Sarah. I have to say that I liked the look of Gary's scones so much, that I had to make some over the weekend too. I like the fact that there was no butter to rub in!
