Spicks and Specks

Firstly we would like to thank Karen from Selvage for her lovely post on our Loyalty Card Wallets. If you aren't familiar with Selvage, it has loads of wonderful projects featuring selvedges - I will never throw them out again! Our tutorials are currently residing in our googlepages site but the bandwidth seems to be regularly exceeded making them difficult to open. If you would like them emailed to you, please leave a comment with your email address.  We hope to find a better place for our tutorials soon.

I am still playing with scraps of fabric and have made up some pot holders (after being inspired by Pink Penguin) for gifts.

....and a camera case for my husband (I had to photograph it with my phone inside - the camera is a better fit!).

There has also been a bit of baking going on. I had to try Suzie's Yoghurt Apple Cake when I discovered it has no butter or oil in the recipe. It is light in texture, low fat, and delicious. I will be making more of these now that apples are in season.

I also made a batch of my favourite autumn recipe - Sticky Toffee Pudding - perfect on its own or served warm with caramel sauce and ice cream.

I love the fabric you used for the camera case. Wow! I've bookmarked Suzie's cake too. I hope to try it out this weekend. How I'd love a piece now with my tea.

The potholders are so pretty - i have to do some too.

I love those potholders.. what did you use on the insides???

What a cute camera case! Michael just bought me a new camera to take with me on the road. And I need a cute case like that. Right now I'm using a Fossil Sunglass bag to protect my LCD screen on the back.
Also: the words Sticky and Toffee made my mouth water. I am going to seek out this recipe immediately! I am attending a reunion this weekend and would love to impress old friends! But in order to do that I would need your skill! Look at that picture!

So glad you like your cupcake fabric - the strangest coincidence recently was that I was having lunch with Janelle(ybelly) here in Melbourne and heard her mention your suburb - my ears pricked up as I had just posted off your pressie that day and she said you guys know each other! Small small world. I am going to try the yoghurt cake receipie and tweak it a bit by using less sugar and adding a rich vanilla greek yoghurt
