Transform chocolate bars, mints, and rolled candy into festive treats with some basic supplies.
We spent a couple of enjoyable hours customising treats for gift giving. We used a range of chocolate bars; rolls of Mentos; Tic Tacs; and peanut brittle. Firstly we wrapped the chocolate bars in aluminium foil. Then covered them with Christmas themed scrap booking paper, and added ribbons, tags, stickers, and other embellishments.
The possibilities are endless!
Sarah is going to give some to her Kris Kindle (Secret Santa) at school and the large blocks of chocolate to her teachers. Some of the smaller treats will be added to Christmas packages and stockings; or used as place cards at the Christmas table.
This is a great activity for kids!

This is a great idea! I've done something similar with glossy magazine pages. For a swim banquet I used pages from USA Swimming. Everyone wanted to know where I "bought" those swim bars!

It looks like a good idea for big kids too - another idea from my Christmas making day - I wonder how much will actually get wrapped though :) I wish I taught your daughter! It's not the same teaching the 'big ones' at Christmas. I need to think of things to take in for them at the end of term - all ideas gratefully received (I have about 80 students).
