Holiday Sewing

The school holidays have got off to a great start with lots of sleeping in, movies, and catching up with friends. Sarah and I have also had some time to enjoy our new creative space.

I have made myself a denim apron, embellished with some simple stitchery, out of this book.

I made myself a pair of PJ’s out of some fabric I bought from here.

I made up a crochet hook roll using Amy Butler Midwest Modern for my Mum to store her extensive collection of hooks!

I have been working on some items for my cupcake swap this week but can’t give much away yet! My pincushion swap was mailed a week ago and I will post photos as soon as my partner has received it.

The crochet hook roll is fabulous, was it fairly straightforward to make? Love your fabrics. You didn't miss much with the Water Horse.

The apron, PJs and crochet hook roll are all lovely. Your work is just beautiful. And I love your choice of fabric ... I have just spent some time drooling over the Hancock's of Paducah site. I'm afraid I probably should never have clicked on that particular link :)

Wowee you've been busy! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous is all I can say!
I need to make myself one of those rolls for all of my knitting needles and crochet hooks so I can stop rifling through my bag searching for them!
I love the stitching detail on the apron, I'm a big fan of being able to see topstitching and decorative stitching on items.

I love those jammies-there is nothing like a new pair! Also, the crochet hook roll is awesome. My grammie made me a knitting needle roll like that and I cherish it-it was modeled after the one her grammie made for her!
Thanks for your comment-I do love Donna Hay very much-if only her magazine wasn't so expensive here in the States! I can't choke down the $15/month

Hi Lisa and Sarah - you girls have been very creative and busy so far over the school holiday. Love the projects you have finished Lisa, you have such lovely colour choices. A fabulous day for sewing today - really wet and yucky outside. I had lessons last night at UFO club stitching on hand applique - so hard to do little stitches - though am training myself to slow down - all for the butterfly garden BOM...
